Corey Brewer scored 18 points off the bench and Andrew Wiggins had 15 for Minnesota, which has not won since point guard Ricky Rubio went down with an ankle injury in Fridays overtime loss to Orlando. The young Wolves played Houston tough in the first half. Both teams shot 20- for-44, and Houston owned a slim 53-49 lead. Houston finally created some separation with a 10-4 run to open the second half. Isaiah Canaan capped the burst by splitting two defenders and flying in for a layup at 7:14. Wiggins made two free throws later in the frame to get Minnesota back within four, but Howard scored at the rim and Terry potted a corner 3-ball and it was back to nine. Terry drilled another trey at 1:11 and Tarik Black beat the buzzer with a layup as the Rockets owned a comfortable 84-70 advantage after three. Minnesotas deficit just grew after that, with Terrys third triple 10 seconds into the fourth setting the tone for the final period. "It has been my dream to fight in the big room at Madison Square Garden, a place where many great fighters have showcased their talents," Martinez said. The 33-year-old Cotto (38-4, 31 KOs) is coming off a strong performance in an October comeback fight, when he stopped Delvin Rodriguez in the third round of a 154-pound fight.dddddddddddd Before that, though, he lost 12-round decisions to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Austin Trout in 2012. "I am very happy to be back again to my second home, Madison Square Garden in New York, to once again make history in front of my fans," said Cotto, who will fight for the ninth time at the Garden. "I will be ready and prepared to do whatever it takes to bring the WBC middleweight title of the world to my country of Puerto Rico." Cotto, who began his career as a 140-pounder in 2001, will be fighting for the first time at 160 pounds.
